Sunday 2nd July is a food and jumble fun day!

Two great local annual events occur this Sunday in sunny SE20, guaranteed to sate the appetites of both foodies and bargain hunters.

Penge Recreation Ground (aka Penge Green) hosts Pengelicious, the food festival, with the following delights: fancy southern Italian panzerotti, contemporary Persian, modern vegan, authentic Himalayan, classic Jamaican, soulfood chilli, local fare from Penge Food Assembly and local craft ales.

There will also be hands-on food activity for the kids. It’s free entry (High Street end) and meal boxes cost £4.50 cash on the day or £3.75 in advance from www.pengelicious.com.  The event runs from 12 till 6pm.

Elsewhere in Penge, well literally everywhere in Penge, you’ll find the Jumble Trail, a bargain trail scattered around the local streets.  This one runs from 11 till 4pm and so far, 73 houses have signed up to sell bric-a-brac, toys, vintage clothes, cakes or whatever in their front gardens or on the street near their abode.  Expect to find loads of bargains.  You can find out which streets are taking part by checking out http://www.jumbletrail.com/event/PengeJumble2017.

There will also be an after-event party at the Goldsmiths from 4pm.
