Relay for Life: A local event to help beat cancer

Relay for Life is a team event, which is taking place at Alexandra Junior School, Cator Road, London SE26 5DS on 16th and 17th July.  It will run for 24 hours, from noon on Saturday until noon on Sunday – the event is overnight to underline the fact that cancer never sleeps.  During the Relay, members of each team will take turns to walk around the track for the duration of the Relay (each team should be made up of 8 to 15 people but there is no maximum).  As well as the Relay itself, Saturday will include a great mix of live music, games and entertainment.

This event has been run very successfully around the UK, but this will be the first time that a Cancer Research UK Relay for Life has taken place in South London.  The organisers are looking to make Relay for Life a real community event so if you’d like to take part or just find out more please follow the link below:
