Many shop fronts are past their best – suggest the council offers shop keepers interest free loans to refurbish their shop fronts subject to the planning department approving the refurbishment to maintain a standard or required enhancement of the look of the High Street.
Agree that some of the shop fronts could do with an upgrade. The Pawleyne looks much better but the Select-A-Door place looks awful, and for many that prime spot will be a lasting impression of the High Street.
