Penge Easter Parade – Easter Saturday

Easter Saturday, 26 March – It’s time for the Penge Easter Parade! So, let’s go through what’s happening again…

When is it? Saturday 26th March, from 4pm

Where does it start? It will start at the Goldsmiths Tavern where children or their parents/guardians should pick up the sticker sheet and a route map from the PTB reps (look for a person sporting a red PTB tote bag or white PTB T-shirt).

What’s the route? From the Goldsmiths, follow the map and stroll along the High Street, collecting the special stickers from participating traders (see list below). Attach the stickers to the sheet. Finish at the Bridge House Tavern where children will be presented with a chocolate egg and can partake in the special kiddie disco upstairs.

What should the children wear? As it’s Easter, it’d be nice if the children could wear something appropriate eg: bunny ears, Easter bonnet, an egg hat. As this is Penge, home of the dinosaurs, a dino mask, etc could also be appropriate.

Which shops are taking part? The list is:

Goldsmiths Pub – 1
Property World – 2
SE20 Dry Cleaners – 3
Fun Cuts – 4
Dew Beauty and Wellness – 5
Macks Chemist – 6
Designer Drapes – 7

We have received donations from Blue Belle Cafe, Galloways, Ewings, Kirvan Bond, Press Gang and Baxter Lambert, all of whom will not be able to participate as they are not open on the day but wanted to support our event and from one of the Penge and Cator councillors, Kathy Bance.

At the end of the trail at the Bridge House Tavern kids with a map of stickers will be presented with an Easter egg and can boogie in the special kiddie disco we will be holding upstairs.

It will be a lot of fun!
