Chris O’Shaughnessy returns with his popular annual talk about local poet Walter De La Mare who lived in Penge for over 25 years. The talk is interspiced with works of poetry by De La Mare whose poem The Listeners was once judged Britain’s favourite. At the end of the evening Walter De La Mare’s Grandson Giles will present the winner of the annual Penge Festival Poetry Competition.
